Position description: Join Jindal Stainless Limited as a key member of our Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) team, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our stainless steel production facilities. This position demands a seasoned engineering professional with a strong background in the mining and metals industry, capable of overseeing complex maintenance projects, optimizing equipment performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement preventive maintenance strategies, troubleshoot technical issues, and uphold the highest safety and quality standards in a dynamic industrial environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage maintenance and repair activities for critical stainless steel production equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs tailored to the specific needs of mining and metals manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts and maintenance materials, optimizing MRO inventory levels.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions to enhance reliability and lifespan.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the MRO department.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
- Prepare detailed maintenance reports, budgets, and project documentation to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
- Drive initiatives for energy efficiency and cost reduction through innovative maintenance practices and technology adoption.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee outsourced maintenance contracts to ensure service quality and adherence to timelines.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment in line with company and regulatory requirements.
