Procurement Executive (Construction Materials)

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to manage the procurement and timely supply of construction materials for our ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that materials are sourced at competitive prices, delivered on time, and meet the required quality standards to support uninterrupted site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and procure construction materials based on project requirements.
- Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to understand material needs.
- Source vendors, obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalize purchase orders.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of materials.
- Verify the quality and quantity of materials received at the site.
- Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, invoices, delivery challans, and stock reports.
- Track material consumption and help control procurement costs.
- Coordinate with the accounts team for invoice verification and payment processing.
- Resolve supplier and delivery-related issues promptly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the construction industry.
- Good knowledge of construction materials such as cement, steel, bricks, aggregates, electrical, plumbing, and finishing materials.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement documentation.
- Basic understanding of BOQs and construction drawings is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
