Hi,
We are looking for a skilled Tekla Modeler and Checkers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating detailed 3D models for steel using Tekla Structures software. You will be responsible for creating and managing accurate structural models that are used for the fabrication and construction of complex projects.
Your role will involve working closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure the model's integrity, accuracy, and alignment with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model Creation: Develop accurate 3D structural models using Tekla Structures for steel including both design and detailing phases.
- Coordination & Collaboration: Work with project engineers and other team members to ensure that the models meet project requirements, and are consistent with design standards.
- Clash Detection & Resolution: Perform clash detection and resolve any potential design or model conflicts, ensuring a streamlined, conflict-free fabrication process.
- Shop Drawings & Details: Generate detailed fabrication drawings and construction documents from the 3D model, including material lists and part drawings.
- Model Updates: Regularly update and maintain the model throughout the project lifecycle based on changes in design or client requirements.
- Quality Control: Ensure the model complies with company standards, client specifications, and applicable codes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Provide detailed reports of model progress, discrepancies, and potential issues for project managers and engineers.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in steel structural modeling.
- Experience in the modeling of steel structural systems.
- Experience with clash detection, model verification, and producing fabrication drawings.
- Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and construction processes.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and the integration of Tekla with other software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of structural codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work with a high degree of precision and produce error-free models.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address issues within the model and recommend solutions.
