About PCVC:
International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care (PCVC), Chennai, is a survivor-centred organisation working with women and children affected by domestic and gender-based violence. The organisation provides crisis intervention, shelter, psychosocial support, legal and health referrals, economic empowerment, prevention work, and systems-level engagement.
Job Summary
Vidiyal, is PCVC’s flagship programme, which entails complete physical and psychosocial recovery of women burn survivors. While most cases are reported by the victim as accident due to various social, financial and emotional barrier, majority of them are fallouts of domestic violence. So, it becomes pertinent for PCVC and all its interventions to be DV and trauma informed. The role of Lead/Senior Lead - Burns Programme (Vidiyal) is to ensure complete recovery of each burn survivor who chooses to access services at PCVC with utmost quality and efficiency in line with PCVC’s programme framework and fundamental principles and values.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the program.
- Oversee data management for the program in accordance with the Management Information System (MIS) of PCVC, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Ensure the quality implementation of the program is aligned with PCVC’s program framework and meets donor commitments.
- Submit donor reports in a timely manner and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Assess capacity-building needs for the program and develop plans for their implementation.
- Establish a support network with relevant stakeholders and institutions involved in the rehabilitation and recovery of burn survivors, including hospitals, health facilities, and employment training organizations.
- Periodically, or as required, provide updates on program progress and challenges to the Director of Program Quality and Senior Management.
- Implement a quality maintenance system for physical facilities associated with the program, including the Rural Health Center (RHC) and residential facility.
- Ensure cost-effective use of resources, identify deficits and gaps, and assist in finding potential donors to secure necessary resources.
- Actively participate in or support external advocacy initiatives, representing PCVC on relevant platforms and forums related to the program.
- Develop and implement a system for periodic program evaluations based on the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework for the program.
Required Skills
- Comfortable discussing issues related to gender-based violence against women and queer individuals.
- Proficient in both Tamil and English.
- Comfortable working with burn survivors of violence at the Government hospital in Madurai.
- Willingness to travel as part of the job.
- Proficiency in computer and database skills.
- Commitment of 2 years is mandatory.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and organisational norms.
Required Qualifications & Experience -
Master's Degree in Social Work
Minimum 5 years of working experience in the NGO Sector.
