Key Responsibilities
- Integrated Teaching: Deliver engaging, comprehensive lectures for Class XI and XII English (Core/Elective) while simultaneously preparing students for the rigorous Language section of CUET and other competitive entrance exams.
- Curriculum Delivery: Expertly cover the CBSE syllabus, including deep analysis of prose and poetry, creative and formal writing styles, and advanced grammatical concepts. Teach students to excel at both the nuanced, expressive writing required for Boards and the high-speed reading comprehension and logical verbal ability required for entrance tests.
- Cross-Disciplinary Alignment: Guide and mentor students - particularly those targeting Law (CLAT) or Management (IPMAT) - by enhancing their reading speed, vocabulary, critical reasoning, and ability to extract information from complex passages.
- Assessment & Tracking: Design, conduct, and analyze Bi-Weekly topic tests (Subjective for Board-style long-form writing & MCQ-based for entrance verbal ability) to benchmark performance and ensure national-level competitiveness.
- Doubt Resolution: Lead dedicated, individual sessions to refine students' writing, grammar, and comprehension skills, ensuring they develop a sophisticated command of the English language.
- Mentorship: Maintain an inspiring classroom environment that encourages literary appreciation, clear expression, and the superior communication skills essential for modern professional careers.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s Degree in English Literature or a related field (MA/M.Phil/PhD). A B.Ed. is preferred.
- Experience: 2–3 years of proven teaching experience in a reputed coaching institute or school handling senior secondary English.
- Skills:
- Deep conceptual clarity of literary devices, structural grammar, and stylistic writing techniques.
- Strong command over teaching reading comprehension strategies, vocabulary building, and time-management for entrance-level MCQs.
- Ability to transform dense texts into accessible, engaging lessons while balancing the formal requirements of the Board curriculum with the dynamic needs of competitive exams.
