Job Summary
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure the smooth functioning of the facility. This is a hands-on role focused on the execution of maintenance work related to civil, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs. The role does not involve supervising staff but requires completing assigned maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance
- Execute daily maintenance work as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Carry out preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.
- Attend to breakdowns and emergency repair requests promptly.
- Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all repairs are completed within the assigned timeline.
- Electrical Works
- Replace lights, switches, sockets, MCBs, and electrical accessories.Plumbing Works
- Repair leaking pipes, taps, valves, and sanitary fittings.
- Clear drain blockages and maintain drainage systems.
- Install and replace plumbing fixtures as required.
- Maintain water supply and sewage systems.
Carpentry & Fabrication
- Perform basic troubleshooting of electrical faults.
- Assist in maintaining generators, UPS systems, and electrical panels.
- Ensure electrical safety during maintenance activities.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Carry out routine servicing of facility equipment.Documentation
- Record completed maintenance activities.
- Report material requirements for repairs.
- Inform the Maintenance Manager about major defects requiring external service.
- Assist in the maintenance of pumps, motors, and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure equipment is functioning efficiently after repairs.
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or a related trade.
Skills Required
- Hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, civil, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely.
- Good problem-solving ability.
- Ability to respond quickly to maintenance emergencies.
- Basic record-keeping skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience in hospitals, hotels, retirement homes, apartments, or commercial buildings.
- Multi-skilled technicians with experience in electrical, plumbing, civil, and carpentry work are preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
