Job Title: Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Design EngineerJob Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and improve mechanical systems, machine components, and production equipment. The candidate will be responsible for mechanical design, 3D modeling, machine analysis, troubleshooting, and supporting manufacturing and production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and machine structures
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Autodesk Inventor
- Prepare technical drawings, BOM, and manufacturing documentation
- Perform mechanical calculations, design analysis, and material selection
- Support installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machines
- Analyze machine performance and suggest design or process improvements
- Conduct prototype testing and validation to ensure performance and reliability
- Coordinate with electrical, electronics, production, and procurement teams
- Ensure design compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
- Assist in machine assembly, inspection, and production support
- Optimize product design for cost, durability, and manufacturability
- Maintain preventive and corrective maintenance records
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of machine design, mechanics, and manufacturing processes
- Hands-on experience with CAD/3D modeling software
- Knowledge of mechanical components such as gears, bearings, shafts, motors, belts, and pneumatic systems
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, and assembly processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 1–5+ years of relevant experience in design, production, or maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FEA / simulation tools
- Knowledge of automation or industrial machinery
- Exposure to new product development and prototype design
