Role Objective
The Senior Architect will serve as the primary technical and design interface between the central leadership and various project teams. To oversee the architectural integrity of high-scale institutional projects, ensuring that designs for schools, universities, and hospitals are functional, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Review & Oversight: Lead the review of architectural plans, sections, and details for institutional buildings. Ensure compliance with safety standards, campus master plans, and healthcare-specific regulations.
- Centralized Coordination: Act as the central hub for multiple projects. Coordinate seamlessly with external Architects, Consultants (MEP, Structural), and Designers to ensure drawing consistency and resolve design conflicts before they reach the site.
- Material & Product Specification: Leverage deep knowledge of architectural products and materials to define high-standard specifications. Evaluate product performance, durability, and aesthetics suitable for high-traffic institutional environments.
- BOQ & Cost Analysis: Review Architectural Bill of Quantities (BOQ) “Value Engineering" options to optimize budgets without compromising design quality.
- Management Decision Support: Prepare comparative analyses of design options, material palettes, and vendor proposals. Present data-driven insights and visual presentations to senior leadership for final approvals.
- Bridge Between Design & Execution: Serve as the key interface between the design team and on-site contractors. Brief leadership on project progress, design changes, and potential risks.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch). Council of Architecture (COA) registration is preferred.
- Relevant Experience: 10–12 years in architectural design and management, with a proven portfolio in Schools, Universities, or Healthcare/Hospitals.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and Microsoft Office. Strong ability to interpret complex technical drawings and BOQs.
- Analytical Mindset: Skilled at comparing multiple design/product variables and presenting them in a clear, structured format for executive decision-making.
- Communication: Good briefing and presentation skills; must be comfortable communicating with both creative designers and corporate leadership.
