Job Title: Manager – Design (Windows & Facades)
Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Manager – Design to lead the design and engineering function for our window and facade projects.
The candidate will be responsible for managing complete design activities including concept development, shop drawings, structural coordination, system detailing, and support to manufacturing and project execution teams.
This role requires strong expertise in facade engineering, technical documentation, and coordination with architects, consultants, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facade & Window Design Management
● Lead design development for: o Aluminium windows and doors
o Curtain wall and unitized facade systems
o Structural glazing and spider glazing
o Louvers, skylights, canopies, cladding works
● Ensure designs meet architectural intent, performance requirements, and project specifications.
2. Shop Drawings & Technical Documentation
● Prepare and review: o GA drawings
o Fabrication/shop drawings
o Installation drawings
o Section details and connection details
o BOM (Bill of Materials)
● Ensure accuracy and timely submission as per project schedules.
3. Coordination with Stakeholders
● Coordinate with: o Architects and façade consultants
o Structural consultants
o Client/project management teams
o Factory production team
o Site execution team
● Manage design approvals, revisions, and client feedback effectively.
4. System Engineering & Material Knowledge
● Ensure proper selection and detailing of: o Aluminium profiles
o Glass specifications
o Hardware and accessories
o Sealants, gaskets, fasteners
● Provide value engineering options to optimize cost and performance.
5. Support to Manufacturing & Execution
● Provide technical support to factory for fabrication feasibility.
● Resolve design-related issues during production and installation.
● Conduct design validations to ensure smooth site execution.
6. Team Leadership & Process Control
● Lead and mentor design engineers and CAD draughtsmen.
● Develop SOPs, drawing standards, and documentation workflows.
● Ensure quality control in design outputs and version management.
7. Design Planning & Project Monitoring
● Plan design deliverables aligned with project timelines.
● Track drawing submission schedules and approval status.
● Maintain proper documentation and drawing logs for each project.
Qualifications:
● Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering / Architecture (preferred)
● Experience: o Minimum 7–12 years of experience in facade/window design
o At least 3–5 years in a managerial or design leadership role
o Experience in aluminium and glazing industry is mandatory
