Job Responsibilities of a Western Dance Teacher
Plan and teach dance choreography to students using a mix of different songs and music stylesCreate unique dance compositions by mixing multiple songs, ensuring smooth transitions and creative flowTeach students new dance formations and patterns that emerge from these mixed tracksMaintain and enhance students’ energy, rhythm, and stage presence during practice and performanceTrain students in various western dance styles such as hip-hop, freestyle, jazz, and contemporaryPrepare students for Annual Day and Annual Learning Festival performancesDesign dances based on specific themes assigned to each class, ensuring the choreography matches the themeUse film songs and creatively edited music (including AI-generated mixes using tools like Suno AI) to develop innovative performancesGuide students in synchronization, expressions, and coordination for stage performancesConduct regular rehearsals and ensure students are well-prepared and confident
Student Development
Encourage students to improve flexibility, rhythm, and coordinationIdentify individual strengths and help students develop their skillsProvide feedback and motivation to boost confidence
