About the Role
We are looking for a qualified TGT English teacher to teach language and literature to students of Classes 1–10, building strong grammar, comprehension, and writing skills while developing a genuine appreciation for English literature.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English language and literature as per the CBSE curriculum for Classes 1–10
- Plan lessons, assessments, and activities that build grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills
- Prepare students for board pattern exams and internal assessments
- Evaluate answer scripts, projects, and assignments; maintain accurate academic records
- Encourage reading, debate, creative writing, and other language-enrichment activities
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress
- Maintain classroom discipline and participate in school events, PTMs, and staff training
Requirements
- Qualification: Graduate/Post-Graduate in English with B.Ed (mandatory)
- CTET/UPTET/STET qualified preferred
- Experience: 2–5 years' teaching experience at middle/secondary level preferred
- Strong command over spoken and written English
- Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and exam pattern
- Good classroom management and communication skills
