The Foreman – Quality Control – Site (Civil) is responsible for overseeing quality-related site activities in civil works and assisting the QA/QC engineer in implementing quality plans. The role includes close monitoring of workmanship, conducting basic material tests, and ensuring construction activities follow quality procedures and safety standards.
Assist the Quality Control Engineer in implementing the quality assurance plan at the site by conducting daily inspections of civil construction activities such as excavation, shuttering, reinforcement placement, concreting, and curing.
? Monitor fieldwork on a daily basis to ensure the workmanship meets the specified tolerances, levels, and dimensions as per the approved drawings and method statements.
? Check that all construction materials delivered at the site are approved and conform to quality standards; segregate any defective or non-conforming materials and report to the engineer concerned. ? Supervise and verify surface preparation, compaction, levelling, and alignment during earthworks and subgrade preparation to ensure adherence to technical specifications.
? Closely monitor rebar fixing, formwork erection, and concrete pouring activities, ensuring bar bending schedules, cover blocks, and vibration procedures are followed properly to avoid defects like honeycombing or voids.
