Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Manager – Fabrication to lead and manage fabrication operations, ensuring efficient production, quality compliance, cost optimization, and timely project execution. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of fabrication processes, manpower management, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall fabrication production department to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Plan and monitor fabrication activities including cutting, bending, welding, machining, assembly, and finishing operations.
- Develop production schedules in coordination with planning, procurement, quality, and dispatch teams.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and production resources.
- Supervise fabrication supervisors, engineers, and shop-floor personnel to maintain productivity.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor production KPIs including productivity, rejection rates, machine utilization, OEE, and on-time delivery.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, engineering drawings, welding procedures, and customer specifications.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize production downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor material consumption and reduce process waste to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Prepare production MIS reports, capacity planning reports, and performance dashboards for senior management.
- Support new product development and process improvement initiatives.
- Drive employee development through training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- 10–15 years of experience in fabrication, heavy engineering, sheet metal, structural fabrication, or industrial manufacturing.
- Proven experience in managing large fabrication teams and production operations.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding processes (MIG, TIG, ARC), CNC cutting, laser/plasma cutting, bending, and assembly.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, production planning tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of ISO quality systems, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and Six Sigma is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
