Job Summary
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) will support the IVF Consultant in the daily functioning of the IVF OPD. The role involves patient counseling, assisting the IVF Consultant during consultations, coordinating patient care, maintaining clinical documentation, and ensuring a smooth patient experience throughout the fertility treatment process.
Key Responsibilities1. OPD Management
- Assist in the daily IVF Outpatient Department (OPD).
- Register and assess patients before consultant evaluation.
- Record detailed medical and treatment history.
- Ensure smooth patient flow and appointment coordination.
2. Patient Counseling
- Counsel couples regarding infertility evaluation and available treatment options.
- Explain IVF treatment protocols, investigations, medication schedules, and follow-up plans as advised by the IVF Consultant.
- Educate patients regarding lifestyle modifications, treatment timelines, and compliance.
- Address patient queries with empathy and maintain complete confidentiality.
- Provide emotional support throughout the treatment journey.
3. Assistance to IVF Consultant
- Assist the IVF Consultant during daily OPD consultations.
- Prepare patient files and review investigation reports before consultation.
- Coordinate investigations, ultrasound appointments, and laboratory tests.
- Assist in treatment planning and implementation under the Consultant's guidance.
- Ensure timely follow-up of patients undergoing fertility treatment.
4. Documentation & Records
- Maintain accurate patient records and consultation notes.
- Ensure completion of consent forms and treatment documentation.
- Update patient progress in the Hospital Information System (HIS) or EMR.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
5. Patient Follow-up
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and treatment schedules.
- Monitor patient compliance with medications and investigations.
- Follow up with patients regarding reports, appointments, and treatment progress.
6. Coordination
- Coordinate with IVF Consultants, embryologists, nursing staff, laboratory personnel, and front office for seamless patient care.
- Assist in scheduling fertility procedures and treatment cycles.
7. Quality & Compliance
- Adhere to hospital policies, ethical practices, and infection control protocols.
- Maintain professionalism and patient-centered care.
- Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
- BAMS / BHMS / BNYS from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the respective State Medical Council/Board.
- Experience in IVF, Infertility, Obstetrics & Gynecology, or Women's Health is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with excellent communication skills and an interest in reproductive medicine may also apply.

Working Hours
- As per Ashoka Hospital duty roster.

Pay: From ₹20,767.93 per month
