Position: Testing & Validation Engineer
Location: Ahmedabad
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Experience Required: 2-5 years
The Testing & Validation Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing structured test plans for electric motors and related systems across EV and industrial applications. The role includes homologation support, failure analysis, field validation, and contributing to product improvement through data-driven testing.
- Develop and execute structured Design Verification Plans (DVP) and validation protocols for motors and controllers.
- Conduct performance, endurance, thermal, vibration, and environmental testing of products.
- Support homologation and certification processes, including documentation preparation and coordination with certifying agencies.
- Analyze test data and identify failure patterns to drive design improvements.
- Perform detailed failure analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Build structured test cases and reliability validation frameworks for new product development.
- Design and set up test rigs, fixtures, and instrumentation as required.
- Support pilot builds and new product development activities with structured validation inputs.
- Coordinate with Design, Electronics, Firmware, and Production teams to close testing feedback loops.
- Provide on-site customer technical support and troubleshooting when required.
- Conduct field testing and collect real-world performance data for continuous product improvement.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test results, validation reports, and compliance records.
- Contribute to FMEA, DOE, and reliability engineering initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in product testing, validation, or reliability engineering.
- Strong understanding of motor performance testing and validation methodologies.
- Experience in homologation and certification processes preferred.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for on-site testing and customer support when required.
