Role Description The Accountant at Svm Readymix is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing invoices, monitoring bank transactions, and reconciling ledgers. The role involves assisting in month-end and year-end closing activities, preparing financial statements and reports, and supporting budgeting and cost tracking for plant operations and projects. The Accountant will also ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, taxation requirements, and internal controls, while coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and auditors as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, ledger management, and financial reporting.
- Ability to handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations accurately and on schedule.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including working with spreadsheets, formulas, and financial data analysis.
- Understanding of local taxation rules, GST, and statutory compliance relevant to manufacturing or construction sectors.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with operations, procurement, and management teams.
- Ability to organize workload, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or related industries is preferred but not mandatory.
Pay: ₹8,597.69 - ₹41,731.06 per month
