We are excited to announce the launch of our new hospital cafeteria and are seeking dedicated, energetic, and customer-focused individuals to join our team. The Cafeteria Staff will play a key role in ensuring a clean, welcoming, and efficient dining experience for patients, visitors, and hospital employees.
This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working in a food service environment and are committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, portioning, and serving of food and beverages.
- Greet customers and provide courteous and efficient service.
- Operate billing or cash-handling systems when required.
- Ensure food counters, dining areas, and workstations are clean and organized.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and monitoring food supplies and inventory.
- Replenish food items, beverages, and serving supplies as needed.
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in dining and service areas.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation and packaging tasks.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the cafeteria.
- Report equipment issues, shortages, or maintenance concerns to supervisors.
- Adhere to hospital policies and infection control practices.
Requirements
Required:
- Minimum qualification: SSLC / Higher Secondary (Plus Two).
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a cafeteria, restaurant, hotel, bakery, catering service, or food court.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Experience in customer service or food handling.
