About the Role
We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our in-house development team at our Chinar Park, Kolkata office. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in CPT, custom theme and plugin development, and advanced page-building frameworks like Elementor.
You will be responsible for creating custom, scalable, and responsive WordPress websites from scratch, developing bespoke plugins, and maintaining complex web applications.
Job Details & Logistics
- Job Location: Chinar Park, Kolkata (Onsite / Work from Office)
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday (6 days a week)
- Working Hours: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes from scratch or custom child themes based on project specifications.
- Design and code custom plugins tailored to specific business logic and functionality.
- Implement and configure Custom Post Types (CPT), custom fields (ACF/Meta Box), taxonomies, and custom database tables.
- Build high-performing, visually appealing landing pages and website layouts using Elementor Pro.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SASS.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing websites for performance, speed, and SEO best practices.
- Ensure web cross-browser compatibility and seamless mobile responsiveness across devices.
Key Qualifications & Technical Requirements
- Core Technical Skills:
- Elementor & Page Builders: Hands-on experience with Elementor/Elementor Pro customization.
- Child Themes & Theme Customization: Proficient in overriding parent theme functions and styling via child themes.
- Custom Theme Development: Expertise in converting PSD/Figma designs into fully dynamic, functional WordPress themes.
- Custom Plugin Development: Ability to build custom plugins from scratch using standard WordPress hooks, actions, and filters.
- Custom Post Types (CPT): Deep understanding of registering, querying, and displaying custom post types and taxonomies.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to UI/UX detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in an in-office team environment.
- Good communication skills and capability to adhere to project deadlines.
