Role Overview
The MEP Engineer will be responsible for execution, coordination, supervision, and monitoring of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for residential, commercial, and redevelopment projects. The role involves ensuring quality execution, timely completion, coordination with consultants and contractors, compliance with safety and statutory standards, and smooth integration of MEP services with civil and architectural activities.
The incumbent will play a critical role in ensuring efficient planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance coordination of all MEP systems within project timelines and budgets.
Key ResponsibilitiesMEP Execution & Coordination
- Supervise and monitor execution of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC, and ELV systems at project sites.
- Coordinate MEP activities with Civil, Architectural, Structural, and Interior teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical submittals prior to execution.
- Ensure proper installation of electrical systems, plumbing lines, HVAC systems, fire fighting systems, pumps, STP/WTP, DG sets, and related MEP infrastructure.
- Monitor site progress and ensure completion of MEP activities as per project schedules.
Planning & Site Management
- Prepare MEP work schedules and monitor milestone achievements.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and site engineers for smooth execution.
- Conduct site inspections and identify technical issues, delays, and coordination clashes.
- Ensure availability of materials, manpower, tools, and equipment for uninterrupted site activities.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide regular progress updates to management.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all MEP works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, standards, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor quality of installation and workmanship at site.
- Ensure compliance with NBC, fire safety norms, electrical standards, and local authority regulations.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Coordinate with consultants and authorities for approvals and inspections.
Billing, BOQ & Cost Monitoring
- Verify contractor bills, measurements, and executed quantities for MEP works.
- Review BOQs, rate analysis, and variation statements related to MEP activities.
- Monitor material consumption and project costs related to MEP works.
- Coordinate with Contracts, Billing, QS, and Procurement teams for commercial and technical approvals.
- Assist in cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.
Documentation & MIS
- Maintain records of drawings, technical submissions, inspection reports, material approvals, testing reports, and work progress.
- Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly MIS reports related to MEP progress, issues, delays, and material status.
- Track RFIs, change requests, variation orders, and technical clarifications.
- Ensure ERP updates related to MEP activities, material consumption, and contractor billing.
Safety & Commissioning
- Ensure implementation of safety procedures and safe work practices at site.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for all MEP systems.
- Ensure smooth handover of completed systems with proper documentation and snag closure.
- Support facility management and handover teams during project completion stages.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with Architects, Consultants, PMC, Contractors, Vendors, and Internal Departments for smooth project execution.
- Liaise with statutory authorities and utility agencies whenever required.
- Support management in resolving technical and operational challenges.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 3–10 years of experience in MEP execution within Real Estate or Construction industry.
- Experience in Residential, Commercial, High-rise, Township, or Redevelopment projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
- Experience in site execution, contractor coordination, and project monitoring.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MEP drawings, and coordination drawings.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and project reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of testing & commissioning procedures.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and site activities.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
