Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and approve incoming raw materials (Copper, Tin, Brass, Bronze, Lead, etc.).
- Conduct chemical composition analysis and maintain test records.
- Check particle size distribution (PSD) using sieve analysis or laser particle size analyzer.
- Measure apparent density, flow rate, and tap density of metal powders.
- Monitor moisture content, oxygen content, and impurity levels (where applicable).
- Perform in-process quality checks during atomization, crushing, milling, blending, and sieving.
- Approve finished products before dispatch.
- Prepare and issue Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch.
- Maintain calibration records of laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
- Investigate quality complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with ISO quality systems and customer-specific requirements.
- Maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and batch traceability.
- Coordinate with production to reduce rejection and improve process quality.
- Monitor product consistency and recommend process improvements.
- Conduct internal quality audits and ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Train production staff on quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Maintain retention samples and quality records for future reference.
