About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager – Electronics to lead the end-to-end sourcing of electronics products for our retail business. The role involves identifying the right products and brands, developing vendor relationships, negotiating competitive commercials, planning the right product assortment, and keeping up with market trends and customer preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and source electronics products, brands and new product opportunities for retail.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brands, distributors, manufacturers and suppliers.
- Negotiate purchase prices, margins, payment terms and commercial agreements.
- Conduct market research to understand customer demand, product trends and competitor pricing.
- Plan and maintain the right product assortment, category mix and price points.
- Evaluate new products, brands and vendors based on quality, pricing, demand and profitability.
- Monitor product performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, margins and category growth.
- Coordinate with internal teams on product selection, pricing, availability and new product launches.
- Continuously explore new brands, products and sourcing opportunities to strengthen the electronics category.
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of experience in retail sourcing, buying, category management or product sourcing.
- Strong experience in Electronics / Consumer Electronics / Electrical & Consumer Durables categories.
- Good understanding of electronics products, brands, vendors, pricing, margins and market trends.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management and commercial skills.
- Ability to identify products based on customer requirements, market demand and emerging trends.
- Strong analytical, commercial and decision-making skills.
- Candidates from electronics retail, consumer durables, departmental stores, large-format retail or consumer electronics businesses will be preferred.
