Summary: The Distribution Sales Manager (India) will lead the strategic expansion of Nova Biomedical’s diagnostic portfolio across the Indian subcontinent. This role focuses on appointing, training, and managing high-performing channel partners to meet aggressive revenue targets for blood gas analysers (e.g., Stat Profile Prime Plus) and glucose monitoring systems.
Statutory Benefits: As a contractor, you will not be eligible for standard Indian employment benefits like EPF (Provident Fund), ESI (Insurance), or Gratuity unless hired through an EOR partner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Channel Management: Identify and onboard new regional distributors while managing existing partnerships to ensure nationwide coverage.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute annual business plans, setting specific quotas and performance metrics for each distributor.
- Clinical Training: Provide hands-on product demonstrations and clinical support to distributor sales teams and end-users (doctors, lab managers, and biomedical engineers).
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing and local regulatory changes to adapt Nova's value proposition for the Indian healthcare market.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales pipelines in CRM tools and provide regular updates on inventory levels and shipment status.
- KOL Development: Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) at major hospitals and diagnostic chains to drive brand preference.
Qualifications (Skills and Competencies):
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or Business; an MBA is often preferred.
5–10 years of experience in medical device sales, with at least 3 years specifically in distribution or channel management in India.
- Proven expertise in point-of-care (POC) testing, critical care diagnostics, or IVD (In-Vitro Diagnostics).
- Fluency in English and Hindi is essential; knowledge of regional languages (e.g., Kannada, Tamil, or Telugu) is a significant advantage for southern territories.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively (>60%) across assigned Indian territories
