Role Summary
The MIS Executive is responsible for collecting, compiling, analyzing, and reporting data to support business decision-making. The role involves maintaining Management Information Systems, generating daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports, and ensuring timely and accurate flow of information across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Reporting
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports to management and relevant departments
- Collect, validate, and consolidate data from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, Excel, field teams)
- Develop and maintain standardized report templates for sales, operations, finance, and HR
- Track KPIs, targets vs. actuals, and highlight variances with commentary
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze trends and patterns in operational and sales data to support decision-making
- Prepare dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or Google Sheets for leadership reviews
- Conduct root cause analysis on data discrepancies and resolve data quality issues
- Support monthly business review (MBR) and quarterly business review (QBR) presentations
Database & System Management
- Maintain and update master data including client databases, employee records, and product data
- Ensure integrity, accuracy, and completeness of data entered into all systems
- Coordinate with IT for system upgrades, troubleshooting, and new report automation
- Build and manage databases, pivot tables, and advanced Excel models
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with sales, operations, finance, and supply chain teams for timely data inputs
- Support field teams by providing territory-wise performance reports and trackers
- Assist in training team members on MIS tools, report formats, and data entry protocols
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests from management within defined TATRequired Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel — VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables, Macros (VBA preferred)
- Working knowledge of Power BI, Google Data Studio, or Tableau (preferred)
- Familiarity with ERP systems — SAP, Tally, Zoho, or similar
- Comfortable working with large datasets and performing data cleansing
- Basic knowledge of SQL or database querying is an advantage

- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy rate of MIS reports (target: 98%+ error-free)
- Timeliness of daily/weekly/monthly report submission
- Reduction in manual effort through automation and process improvements
- Turnaround time on ad-hoc data requests
- Data completeness and system update compliance
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, IT, or related field
- MBA or Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics / Data Management preferred
- Certification in MS Excel, Power BI, or Data Analytics is an added advantage
Experience
- 1 – 4 years of relevant experience in MIS, data analysis, or reporting roles
- Experience in industries such as FMCG, Retail, HORECA, Manufacturing, or BFSI preferred
- Exposure to handling multi-location or multi-team data consolidation is a plus
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
