About the Role
Mantrin Institute is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Education Counselor to join our Chandigarh office. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in education counseling, admissions, or study abroad consulting. The candidate will be responsible for counseling students on academic programs, career pathways, GED (General Educational Development), and study abroad opportunities while guiding them through the complete admission process.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding academic programs, career options, and admissions.
- Guide students on higher education opportunities in India and abroad.
- Counsel students about the GED (General Educational Development) program as an alternative pathway to higher education for eligible students.
- Explain the eligibility, benefits, exam structure, and opportunities associated with the GED program.
- Advise students on study abroad options after completing the GED, based on the admission requirements of colleges and universities.
- Assist students with GED enrollment, exam registration, preparation planning, and required documentation.
- Handle student inquiries through phone calls, emails, walk-ins, and online platforms.
- Convert inquiries into admissions through effective counseling and relationship building.
- Follow up with prospective students and maintain regular communication until enrollment is completed.
- Coordinate with the admissions and study abroad teams to ensure a seamless student experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, and admissions using CRM or other management systems.
- Participate in seminars, education fairs, workshops, and promotional events.
- Achieve monthly admission targets while ensuring excellent student satisfaction.
- Stay updated on education trends, admission policies, visa processes, and international university requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Education Counselor, Admission Counselor, or Study Abroad Counselor.
- Experience counseling students for GED and international education is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counseling, negotiation, and sales abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment.
