We are seeking a highly motivated Motor Design & Analysis Engineer to join our R&D team for the development of next-generation Electric Motors. The candidate will be responsible for first-principles–based modeling, analytical design, and finite element analysis (FEM) to optimize motor performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform first-principles–based motor design calculations for electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical aspects of axial flux machines.
- Develop and validate analytical models for predicting motor performance.
- Carry out Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis (2D/3D) for electromagnetic, structural, and thermal studies.
- Optimize motor geometry, winding configuration, and material selection to maximize efficiency and torque density.
- Work on loss modeling (iron loss, copper loss, eddy current, mechanical loss) and propose methods for reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for prototype development and testing.
- Document findings, create technical reports, and present design trade-offs.
Requirements:
- Master’s (M.Tech) /Bachelor’s (B.Tech) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or related domain with strong motor syllabus background.
- Strong fundamentals in electromagnetic theory, machine design, and energy conversion principles.
- Hands-on experience with analytical calculations for motor design (back EMF, torque, flux density, inductance, etc.).
- Experience in FEM tools (ANSYS Maxwell, JMAG, COMSOL, Flux, or similar).
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or Python for analytical modeling and parameter optimization.
- Understanding of motor efficiency maps, torque-speed characteristics, and drive integration.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and optimization skills.
