Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Planning & Billing Engineer with 10+ years of experience in civil construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in project billing, quantity verification, planning, scheduling, vendor coordination, and project progress monitoring. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate billing, effective project planning, timely reporting, and coordination with project stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare, update, and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
- Develop baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and recovery schedules.
- Track project progress and compare actual performance against planned targets.
- Coordinate with site teams to collect progress data and update schedules regularly.
- Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and project status updates.
- Identify project delays, critical activities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist project management in resource planning and productivity monitoring.
Billing & Quantity Management
- Prepare and process client, contractor, and subcontractor bills based on project progress.
- Verify quantities, measurements, and executed work in coordination with site engineers.
- Maintain and update BOQs, rate analysis, quantity reconciliation statements, and billing records.
- Ensure billing is prepared in accordance with contract terms and approved quantities.
- Reconcile executed quantities with billed quantities and approved BOQs.
- Support preparation and settlement of final bills and project closure documentation.
Vendor & Contract Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers for timely submission of bills and supporting documents.
- Track vendor invoices and payment status in coordination with the accounts department.
- Assist in vendor onboarding and documentation management.
- Maintain records of contracts, work orders, invoices, agreements, and payment certificates.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, billing procedures, and company policies.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
- Prepare quantity reconciliation reports, billing summaries, and cost tracking reports.
- Support project audits and management reviews by providing required documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to project management and clients.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in civil construction projects.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Planning & Scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity surveying, billing processes, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office applications.
- Experience in contractor billing, subcontractor billing, and quantity reconciliation.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project activities and meet deadlines effectively.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of project cost control and project monitoring techniques.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and commercial aspects of projects.
- Ability to analyze project performance and prepare management reports.
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
