Job Summary:
We are looking for an R&D Executive/Chemist to support product development, quality improvement, and laboratory testing activities for charcoal products and Activated Carbon. The candidate will be responsible for conducting tests, analyzing product performance, and developing formulations to achieve consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory testing of raw materials and finished products.
- Analyze ash content, moisture content, fixed carbon, density, burning time, and other quality parameters.
- Develop and improve hookah charcoal formulations and production processes.
- Maintain laboratory records, reports, and test documentation.
- Perform quality investigations and root-cause analysis.
- Work closely with production teams to improve product consistency.
- Research new materials, binders, and manufacturing methods.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety procedures.
- Participate in product development and process optimization projects.
- Travel internationally for technical training when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related disciplines.
- 3–5 years of experience in laboratory testing, R&D, or quality control in charcoal, carbon, biomass, or related industries.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Willingness to relocate to Kolkata.
- Valid passport is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel internationally for training purposes.
Preferred Candidates:
- Candidates from Kolkata, Tamil Nadu, or Kerala.
- Experience in hookah charcoal, activated carbon, biomass products, or similar manufacturing industries.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
