Duties & Responsibilities:
In-Process Quality Control
- Monitor and inspect in-process activities across critical manufacturing stages
- Ensure adherence to quality plans, control plans, and process parameters
- Identify and eliminate process non-conformities through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Work closely with production teams to maintain consistent product quality
Quality Systems & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, deviation records, and quality logs
- Ensure compliance & closure of non-conformity for all type of audits being conducted (ISO 9001, internal audits, EHS audits , customer audits )
- Review & update documentation related to process & quality requirements
- Prepare & Execute Quality Plan
Defect Analysis & Improvement
- Lead analysis of in-process defects, rejection trends, and customer complaints (if any)
- Conduct CAPA, 5 Why, and FMEA for recurring issues and process deviations
- Implement Poka-Yoke and continuous improvement initiatives to improve process stability
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams for smooth process flows
- Support new product development and trial runs from a process quality perspective
Reporting & MIS
- Maintain quality KPIs and share daily/weekly/monthly reports with management
- Drive action plans for yield improvement, rework reduction, and cost control
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of in-process quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of quality tools – 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, CAPA, and MSA
- Exposure to ISO & NABL systems, PPAP, and control plan preparation
- Effective analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Proactive, hands-on approach to resolving shopfloor quality issues
- Should be able to prepare skill matrix for the team & provide appropriate trainings.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Qualification:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering: min 5-7 years of experience OR Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering: min 7-10 years of experience.
- Experience in electrical/mechanical component manufacturing or transformer bushings industry or MV/HV switchgear industry is preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹51,000.00 per month
