Job Description of Liquid Syrup filling and sealing machine operator
A liquid syrup filling and sealing machine operator runs, maintains, and troubleshoots filling and sealing equipment to ensure accurate, hygienic, and high-quality product output in industries like pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or food & beverage. Responsibilities include machine setup, monitoring quality, performing routine maintenance, documenting production data, and adhering to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Machine Operation:
Operate automatic and semi-automatic filling and sealing machines efficiently during production runs.
· Setup & Monitoring:
Set up machines with correct parameters and materials, monitor ongoing operations to ensure quality and filling accuracy.
· Quality Control:
Inspect products to maintain quality standards, perform sampling, and ensure compliance with all GMP and quality regulations.
· Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine checks, cleaning, and lubrication; conduct minor repairs and adjustments to prevent and resolve machine malfunctions and jams.
· Documentation:
Maintain daily logs of machine performance, production output, and accurate records of solution and unit counts.
· Hygiene & Safety:
Clean and sanitize filling areas and equipment daily to maintain a hygienic environment. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
· Material Handling:
Sort materials and check components for the filling and sealing process.
· Reporting:
Report machine breakdowns, faults, and production issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
Required Skills & Experience
· Experience:
Proven work experience as a machine operator in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or FMCG/food industry.
· Technical Skills:
Knowledge of machine settings, filling mechanisms (e.g., volumetric filling systems), basic repairs, and troubleshooting.
· Compliance:
Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other relevant industry standards.
· Attention to Detail:
High visual and mental effort is required to monitor operations and maintain product quality.
· Adaptability:
Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and work flexible shifts if required.
· Education:
An ITI (Industrial Training Institute) or diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field is often preferred.
