Festivals From India is hiring on behalf of their client, Ashvita’s Fine Art & Collectables, a skilled Assistant Conservator – Art Conservation & Archives who will support the Conservation & Archive Department in the preservation, documentation, and management of artworks, with a primary focus on the conservation of Achuthan’s artworks. The role will also contribute to archival documentation and content creation related to conservation practices and departmental activities.

- The vetting process for this role comprises 2-3 rounds of interviews and may be followed by a brief assignment.

Working Days: Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6:30 pm
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Conservation, Museology, Art History, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of conservation principles, material care, and artwork handling, storage, and documentation practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, condition reporting, and basic environmental monitoring standards.
Essential Experience:
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in art conservation or collection care.
- Basic understanding of preventive conservation and material care.
- Experience with documentation, cataloguing, and archival systems.
- Familiarity with handling a range of materials (paintings, paper, textiles, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Good written communication skills for documentation and content support.

Key Roles/Responsibilities:
- Assist in the conservation, preservation, and condition assessment of Achuthan’s artworks following professional conservation standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and archival records related to artworks, conservation treatments, and research materials.
- Manage and update the inventory of artworks, conservation tools, and materials, ensuring proper tracking and record keeping.
- Support safe handling, storage, and movement of artworks in accordance with conservation guidelines.
- Contribute to content creation and documentation highlighting conservation processes, archival research, and departmental initiatives.
- Coordinate with curatorial, archive, and exhibition teams to support conservation and collection management activities.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
