Position: Panchakarma Therapist Freashers
Work Location:Forte kochi Dr.Suraj S Ayurvedic Clinic
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Break: 1-hour lunch break (as scheduled by the clinic)
Working Days: As per clinic policy.
Job Summary
The Panchakarma Therapist is responsible for providing authentic Ayurvedic Panchakarma therapies while ensuring a safe, hygienic, and comfortable environment for patients. The role also includes patient coordination, treatment scheduling, maintaining treatment records, and supporting the smooth daily operation of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
Welcome and receive patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Prepare patients for consultation and treatment.
Perform Panchakarma therapies strictly according to the doctor's prescription and clinic protocols.
Explain treatment procedures and post-treatment instructions to patients.
Observe patient responses during therapy and immediately report any concerns to the consulting doctor.
Treatment Responsibilities
Perform therapies such as Abhyanga, Swedana, Shirodhara, Njavarakizhi, Pizhichil, Elakizhi, Podikizhi, Udwarthanam, Nasya, Kati Basti, Greeva Basti, Janu Basti, and other Panchakarma procedures as instructed.
Prepare treatment rooms before each session.
Ensure proper handling and preparation of oils, herbal medicines, and therapy materials.
Clean, disinfect, and organize treatment equipment after every session.
Patient Coordination
Contact patients to confirm appointments.
Coordinate treatment schedules and follow-up visits.
Remind patients regarding ongoing treatment packages and review appointments.
Maintain good communication with patients regarding timing and treatment instructions.
Documentation
Maintain accurate treatment records.
Record therapies performed, patient attendance, and treatment progress.
Update appointment schedules and report completion of treatments.
Clinic Operations
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of therapy rooms and equipment.
Monitor stock of oils, medicines, towels, linens, and therapy materials.
Inform the clinic administration regarding low inventory.
Assist in preparing therapy rooms and ensuring availability of required materials before each session.
Support smooth clinic operations during busy hours.
Professional Conduct
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Follow clinic policies, infection control practices, and safety standards.
Wear clean professional attire and maintain personal hygiene.
Treat all patients with respect, compassion, and professionalism.
Work cooperatively with doctors, reception staff, and other team members.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist in health camps, awareness programs, and promotional events organized by the clinic.
Help orient new staff when required.
Perform any additional duties assigned by the clinic management that support patient care and clinic operations.
Participate in periodic training to improve clinical knowledge and therapy skills.
Qualifications
Certificate/Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Panchakarma Therapy or a related Ayurvedic field.
Prior clinical experience is preferred but fresh candidates with good practical skills may apply.
