Job Summary:
An SEO Executive is responsible for managing and implementing search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve the visibility and ranking of a website on search engines. The role involves conducting keyword research, optimizing website content, building backlinks, and analyzing website performance to drive organic traffic and enhance the site’s overall SEO performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Page SEO:
- Optimize website content for search engines by performing keyword research and analysis.
- Implement SEO best practices in content creation, ensuring the right keyword density, proper use of meta tags (title, description), headers, and image alt texts.
- Conduct technical SEO audits to ensure the website is structured for search engine crawlers, improving site speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Create and optimize landing pages to improve conversions and rankings.
- Off-Page SEO:
- Build and manage quality backlinks through guest posts, outreach, and other link-building techniques.
- Monitor backlinks for quality and work to remove toxic or spammy links.
- Develop strategies to improve the domain authority of the website.
- Keyword Research and Analysis:
- Conduct keyword research to identify valuable and relevant search terms for the website.
- Analyze keyword trends and competition to stay updated on industry changes.
- Create a keyword strategy for both short-term and long-term SEO goals.
- SEO Audits & Reporting:
- Conduct regular SEO audits to identify issues or opportunities for optimization.
- Monitor the performance of websites using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz.
- Provide regular reports on SEO performance, including traffic, keyword rankings, backlinks, and overall search engine visibility.
- Analyze website traffic and recommend changes to improve performance.
- Content Optimization:
- Collaborate with content writers to optimize articles, blogs, and other web content for SEO.
- Suggest topics and keywords for content creation based on SEO insights and audience targeting.
- Ensure content aligns with SEO strategies to improve rankings and user engagement.
- Local SEO:
- Implement local SEO strategies, including Google My Business optimization, local citations, and NAP (Name, Address, Phone number) consistency.
- Optimize website content for local search results and map listings.
- Stay Updated on SEO Trends:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
- Apply new SEO techniques and strategies to improve results.
- Attend webinars, courses, and conferences to enhance SEO knowledge.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team, web developers, and content creators to ensure SEO strategies align with overall marketing goals.
- Assist in improving user experience (UX) and site navigation to support SEO goals.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in SEO or digital marketing.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
- Familiarity with SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.).
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development practices (basic understanding).
- Proficiency in using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Joomla, Shopify).
- Experience with keyword research, link-building, and content optimization strategies.
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
