Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Finance & Tax Specialist with strong functional expertise in Oracle Financials and deep understanding of tax configurations and compliance . The role involves supporting, enhancing, and implementing finance and tax processes within Oracle EBS, working closely with finance, tax, audit, and IT teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and system stability.
Key Responsibilities
Own and support Oracle EBS Financials and Tax processes
Provide L2/L3 production support , including issue analysis, RCA, and permanent fixes
Configure, maintain, and enhance tax setups in Oracle EBS
Work closely with Finance, Tax, and Audit teams to support statutory and compliance requirements
Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities
Participate in implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and patching
Prepare functional specifications and support testing (SIT/UAT) and cutover activities
Ensure strong controls, auditability, and data accuracy across financial transactions
Skills & Experience
Oracle EBS Finance Modules (Strong)
Tax Expertise (Strong)
Hands‑on experience with Oracle EBS Tax (EBTax / eBTax) configuration:
Tax regimes, taxes, tax statuses, tax rates
Tax rules, tax determination logic
Recovery rules and tax accounting
Experience handling:
Indirect taxes (GST / VAT / Sales Tax / Use Tax)
Withholding Tax (TDS / WHT)
Understanding of tax calculation, reporting, and reconciliation
Finance & Accounting Knowledge
Strong understanding of:
Accounting principles, journal entries, subledger accounting (SLA)
Period close processes and reconciliations
Experience with:
AutoInvoice, Payments, Receipts, Adjustments
Intercompany accounting and reconciliations (preferred)
Technical & Reporting Exposure (Preferred)
Working knowledge of:
PL/SQL and SQL for data analysis and issue resolution
Subledger Accounting (SLA) setups and troubleshooting
XML Publisher / BI Publisher financial and tax reports
Experience supporting:
Interfaces to banks, tax engines, or external reporting systems
Audit, Controls & Compliance
Experience working in audit‑controlled environments (SOX or equivalent)
Understanding of:
Segregation of duties (SoD)
Approval workflows and audit trails
Financial and tax reporting controls
Ability to support internal and external audits with data extracts and explanations
Nice to Have
Experience with Oracle EBS upgrades or R12.x
Exposure to Oracle Cloud Financials / Tax (Fusion)
Oracle Financials / Tax certifications
Experience in multinational or multi‑org environments
