Job Summary:
We are seeking a Service Assistant for the Montessori section of PSG World School. The candidate will support teachers in ensuring the safety, hygiene, comfort, and well-being of young children. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, supervising children, maintaining a clean learning environment, and providing day-to-day support for the smooth functioning of the Montessori classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in supervising and caring for children during classroom activities, daily routines, meals, and indoor/outdoor activities.
- Ensure the safety, hygiene, well-being, and comfort of children, and promptly report any concerns to the teacher.
- Assist in organizing learning materials, maintaining classroom supplies, and supporting classroom activities and records.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and a child-friendly classroom environment.
- Support children in developing good habits, social skills, and positive behaviour.
- Assist children during arrival, dispersal, and transition between activities.
- Support school events, celebrations, field trips, and special programs.
- Perform other childcare and classroom support duties assigned by the school.
Desired Candidates Qualifications
- Qualification 12th / Any Degree.
- 1–3 years of experience in childcare, preschool, Montessori, kindergarten, or school environments preferred.
- Genuine interest in working with young children.
- Patient, caring, responsible, and child-friendly attitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle children with care, empathy, and sensitivity.
- Good hygiene, cleanliness, and organizational habits.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.
- Basic knowledge of child safety and childcare practices will be an added advantage.
