Job Summary:
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care to admitted patients, monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, maintaining nursing records, and assisting doctors in patient management while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:Patient Care
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs regularly.
- Assess patient conditions and report any abnormalities to the treating doctor and nursing incharge.
- Assist patients with daily activities and personal hygiene when required.
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.
Medication Administration
- Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- Follow the "Five Rights" of medication administration.
- Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and report immediately.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate nursing notes and patient records.
- Complete all nursing documentation, charts, intake-output records, and treatment sheets.
- Ensure timely updating of patient files and handover notes.
Doctor Coordination
- Assist doctors during rounds and procedures.
- Carry out doctor's orders promptly and accurately.
- Inform doctors about any changes in patient condition.
Infection Control
- Follow hospital infection control policies and protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper disposal of biomedical waste.
- Ensure proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Patient & Relative Communication
- Educate patients and relatives regarding treatment plans and nursing care.
- Respond to patient queries courteously and professionally.
- Escalate complaints or concerns to the nursing incharge when necessary.
Ward Management
- Maintain ward discipline and cleanliness.
- Check availability and functioning of equipment.
- Ensure adequate stock of medicines and consumables in the ward.
- Report equipment malfunction or shortages immediately.
Emergency Management
- Respond promptly during medical emergencies.
- Assist in CPR, resuscitation, and emergency procedures.
- Coordinate with doctors and other departments during emergencies.
Qualifications:
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid Nursing Council Registration.
Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
