Consulting Engagement | Case-by-Case Basis
About the Opportunity
We are looking to collaborate with experienced Patent Attorneys and Patent Consultants to support patent drafting, filing, prosecution, and intellectual property strategy for innovative technologies. This is a consulting opportunity designed for professionals who prefer flexible, project-based engagements.
Consultants will be engaged on a case-by-case basis depending on project requirements. This is not a full-time, part-time, or retainer-based role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess inventions for patentability and advise on IP protection strategies.
- Draft complete patent specifications, claims, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and file patent applications with the relevant patent offices.
- Handle office actions, prosecution, amendments, and related correspondence.
- Conduct prior art and patent landscape reviews, where required.
- Work closely with inventors, founders, researchers, and technical teams to understand innovations and convert them into strong patent applications.
- Provide strategic guidance on domestic and international patent filing approaches.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable patent laws, regulations, and filing standards.
Qualifications
- Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent (preferred, where applicable).
- Demonstrated experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
- Strong understanding of patent laws, filing procedures, and IP strategy.
- Experience in one or more technical domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Software, Electronics, Healthcare, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage assignments independently while meeting agreed timelines.
Engagement Model
- Independent consulting engagement on a case-by-case basis.
- Consultants will be assigned projects based on expertise, availability, and project requirements.
- There is no minimum commitment or guaranteed volume of work.
- Compensation will be mutually agreed upon for each engagement, based on the scope, complexity, and deliverables of the assignment.
