Job Title: Colour Lab Incharge – Woven Fabric

Job Summary
The Colour Lab Incharge is responsible for managing all colour matching, shade development, laboratory dyeing trials, and colour quality control activities for woven fabrics. The role ensures accurate shade reproduction, customer shade approvals, and smooth coordination between the laboratory and production departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and match fabric shades as per customer requirements and approved standards.
- Conduct laboratory dyeing trials for woven fabrics using various dyes and chemicals.
- Prepare dye recipes and ensure accurate shade matching.
- Maintain colour standards, shade cards, and laboratory records.
- Evaluate shade variations and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and merchandising teams for shade approvals.
- Monitor dye and chemical consumption during lab trials.
- Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Analyze production shade issues and provide technical support for bulk production.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Train and supervise colour lab assistants and technicians.
- Ensure adherence to safety and housekeeping standards within the laboratory.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, Chemistry, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in colour matching and dyeing laboratory operations for woven fabrics.
- Knowledge of reactive, vat, direct, sulfur, and pigment dyeing processes.
- Familiarity with spectrophotometer, colour matching software, and laboratory testing equipment.
Required Skills
- Strong colour vision and shade evaluation skills.
- Knowledge of textile dyeing and finishing processes.
- Recipe formulation and colour correction expertise.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Team management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and laboratory documentation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Shade approval success rate.
- Right-first-time colour matching percentage.
- Reduction in shade rejections and reprocessing.
- Timely completion of lab trials and sample submissions.
- Compliance with customer quality standards.
Experience Preferred: 5+ years in woven fabric dyeing and colour laboratory management.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per day
