Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security systems. The IT Engineer will ensure maximum system availability, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide technical support to employees.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
* Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux operating systems.
* Install, configure, and manage software applications and operating systems.
* Configure and maintain Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
* Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
* Manage Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and Group Policies.
* Install and maintain antivirus, firewall, and endpoint security solutions.
* Perform regular system updates, security patches, and backups.
* Monitor server health, storage utilization, and system performance.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and printer-related issues.
* Provide technical support to employees through remote and onsite assistance.
* Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
* Configure email accounts, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace, and collaboration tools.
* Support VPN, remote desktop, and remote access solutions.
* Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement and warranty services.
* Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.
* Maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures.
* Document technical procedures, troubleshooting guides, and system configurations.
Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
* Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, and network troubleshooting.
* Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
* Experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration.
* Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
* Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
* Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 1–5 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
* Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco (CCNA), Red Hat (RHCSA), or AWS/Azure are an advantage.
