Job description: Staff Nurse – ICU / Emergency Department

About the Role
MAICAT Healthcare is looking for experienced and dedicated Staff Nurses to join our clinical team. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on hospital experience, preferably in ICU, Critical Care, or Emergency Departments. The role requires strong clinical competence, patient-centered care, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in ICU and Emergency settings.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and treatment responses.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and other prescribed treatments.
- Assist physicians during emergency procedures and critical interventions.
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital quality protocols.
- Participate in emergency response and resuscitation procedures as required.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and care plans.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc. Nursing or GNM from a recognized institution.
- Valid Nursing Council registration.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience in ICU, Emergency, Critical Care, or HDU preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication, clinical assessment, and patient management skills.
