Inventory Executive - (SAP Experienced)
Department: Store Operations / Inventory Management
Reporting To: Store Manager / Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Inventory Executive is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management, stock reconciliation, and seamless inventory operations using SAP. The role requires maintaining inventory accuracy, processing stock transactions in SAP, coordinating with warehouse and sales teams, and ensuring compliance with company SOPs to minimize stock variance and maximize product availability.
Key Responsibilities
Process Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), stock transfers, stock adjustments, and Goods Issue (GI) transactions in SAP.
Verify inward stock against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans.
Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP and ensure real-time stock updates.
Perform daily stock reconciliation between physical inventory and SAP records.
Conduct cycle counts, perpetual inventory checks, and annual stock audits.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and initiate corrective actions.
Coordinate inter-store and warehouse stock transfers through SAP.
Monitor ageing inventory, slow-moving stock, and non-moving inventory.
Manage damaged, defective, RTV (Return to Vendor), and demo stock as per company SOPs.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports using SAP and Microsoft Excel.
Ensure timely replenishment of fast-moving products by coordinating with procurement and warehouse teams.
Support internal and external inventory audits by providing accurate documentation.
Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures, loss prevention policies, and audit standards.
Collaborate with the Sales, Finance, Warehouse, and Logistics teams for smooth inventory operations.
Maintain proper documentation for stock movement and inventory transactions.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline (B.Com, BBA, B.Sc., or equivalent).
2–5 years of experience in retail inventory or warehouse operations.
Hands-on experience working with SAP MM (Materials Management) or SAPS/4HANA Inventory Management.
Experience in consumer electronics or large-format retail is preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in SAP inventory transactions (GRN, STO, GI, Stock Transfer, Inventory Adjustment).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, basic reporting).
Familiarity with inventory management systems and POS integration.
Knowledge of inventory reconciliation and stock audit processes.
Understanding of barcode scanning and inventory tracking systems.
