Key Responsibilities
1. Nursing Administration
- Plan, organise, and supervise all nursing services across OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, Emergency, and other clinical departments.
- Ensure adequate nursing staff allocation and duty roster management.
- Monitor nursing performance and maintain quality patient care.
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
2. Patient Care Management
- Ensure safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care.
- Monitor patient safety initiatives and quality indicators.
- Conduct regular nursing rounds and resolve patient care issues promptly.
- Coordinate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
3. Staff Management
- Recruit, orient, train, and mentor nursing staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and competency assessments.
- Identify training needs and organise continuous nursing education programs.
- Maintain discipline, professional conduct, and adherence to hospital policies.
4. Quality and Accreditation
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
- Monitor nursing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions based on audit findings.
5. Infection Prevention and Control
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.
- Monitor hand hygiene, biomedical waste segregation, and aseptic practices.
- Coordinate with the Infection Control Committee for surveillance, reporting, and staff training.
6. Medication Safety
- Ensure safe medication administration practices.
- Monitor compliance with medication policies.
- Investigate medication errors and implement preventive measures.
7. Equipment and Resource Management
- Ensure proper utilisation and maintenance of nursing equipment.
- Monitor the availability of emergency drugs, consumables, and supplies.
- Coordinate with the Biomedical Engineering department for equipment maintenance.
8. Documentation and Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation in the EMR and patient records.
- Prepare monthly reports on nursing activities, staffing, quality indicators, incidents, and training.
- Maintain departmental records, registers, and statutory documentation.
9. Emergency Preparedness
- Coordinate nursing services during medical emergencies and disasters.
- Participate in mock drills for Code Blue, fire safety, and disaster management.
- Ensure emergency equipment and crash carts are maintained and readily available.
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. Nursing (Mandatory)
- M.Sc. Nursing (Preferred)
- Valid Nursing Council Registration
Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of nursing experience in a multispecialty hospital.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a nursing leadership or supervisory role.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
