Business Development Manager (Books)

About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager (Books) to drive the sales and adoption of our educational books, learning resources, and academic solutions. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with schools, educators, and institutional partners while achieving sales and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to increase the adoption of educational books and learning solutions.
- Identify and acquire new school clients, educational institutions, distributors, and channel partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Principals, School Managements, and decision-makers.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and academic orientation sessions.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare sales forecasts, market analysis, and business development reports.
- Coordinate with academic, marketing, and product teams for successful implementation.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, book exhibitions, seminars, and education events.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy customer relationships.
- Travel extensively to schools and educational institutions across assigned territories.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- MBA (Marketing/Sales) is preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in educational publishing, school sales, EdTech, or institutional sales.
- Experience in selling educational books, curriculum solutions, or learning products is highly preferred.
