We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong testing skills and good understanding of business processes across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing, along with the ability to understand business workflows and validate application behavior against business requirements.
The candidate will work closely with business analysts, developers, and functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to prepare effective test strategies.
- Understand and validate end-to-end business processes such as:
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Inventory Management
- Manufacturing / Production Workflows
- Finance and Accounting Processes
- Customer and Supplier Management
- Create and execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, system, and UAT testing.
- Validate application workflows, data flow, and business rules across different modules.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Perform database validation using SQL queries to verify data accuracy and integrity.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and functional consultants to analyze and resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support release validation and production deployment testing.
- Maintain test documentation, traceability matrices, and quality reports.
Required Skills
Testing Skills
- Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
- Experience in manual testing of enterprise applications.
- Good understanding of functional and integration testing.
- Experience in regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
Business Process Knowledge
- Understanding of ERP/enterprise application workflows.
- Knowledge of inventory, purchase, sales, manufacturing, finance, or CRM processes is preferred.
- Ability to map business requirements with application functionality.
Automation & Technical Skills (Preferred)
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of Java/Python/C# automation scripting.
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
- Knowledge of SQL queries for backend validation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and version control systems like Git.
Preferred Domain Experience
- ERP applications (SAP, Oracle ERP, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, NetSuite, etc.)
- Manufacturing applications
- Supply chain and inventory systems
- Finance and accounting applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Good to Have
- Experience working with functional consultants or business analysts.
- Knowledge of ERP modules and business process validation.
- Experience participating in UAT and client-facing activities.
