Job Description:
- Maintain, update, and audit-controlled documentation (Quality Manuals, SOPs, Work Instructions, Process Flow Charts, and Inspection Checklists).
- Organize and lead internal QMS audits across all manufacturing steps (Melting/Casting, Wire Drawing, Extrusion, Rolling, Annealing, and Dispatch).
- Act as the key liaison for external certification bodies (ISO 9001:2015) and client quality audits.
- Metals Testing & Verification: Ensure strict quality checks for raw copper scrap/cathodes, continuous cast rods, and finished products (conductivity, purity, dimensional tolerances, hardness, tensile strength, and surface finish).
- Monitor specific standards for non-ferrous products (e.g., % IACS electrical conductivity, elongation, surface defect limits, and oxygen content levels in ETP copper).
- Establish Process Control Plans (PCP) and monitor Critical-To-Quality (CTQ) parameters across copper and aluminium wire drawing and strip rolling operations.
- Calibration Management: Ensure 100% on-time calibration and accuracy of lab instruments (Conductivity Meters, Tensile Testing Machines, Spectrometers, Micrometres, Vernier Calipers).
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for internal rejections, customer complaints, and line defects using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone analysis.
- Formulate and implement robust CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), verifying their long-term effectiveness to prevent reoccurrence.
- Manage Non-Conforming Material (NCM) processes for shop-floor scrap segregation and rework loops.
- Prepare and verify Mill Test Certificates (MTCs) and Certificate of Analysis (CoA) according to relevant IS/ASTM standards for dispatched lots.
- Address technical customer complaints regarding copper grades (ETP, OFHC, Silver Bearing), dimensional tolerances, or packaging protection (preventing copper oxidation/tarnishing).
- Conduct regular QMS awareness and defect-prevention training programs for machine operators and inspectors.
