Position Summary
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in Guntur. The ideal candidate will assist senior chefs in food preparation, maintain hygiene and food safety standards, and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing ingredients by washing, cutting, peeling, and portioning food items.
- Support senior chefs during food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Prepare dishes according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items (FIFO).
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies.
- Minimize food wastage through proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Maintain mise en place before service and support smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food within service timelines.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- 0–6 years of experience in a café, restaurant, or hotel kitchen.
- Freshers with culinary training are encouraged to apply.
