1. LiDAR Knowledge
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a technology that uses laser pulses to create accurate 3D maps of the environment. It is commonly used in:
- Self-driving cars
- Robotics
- Drones
- Mapping and surveying
As a Data Annotator, you may need to:
- Label vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and other objects in 3D point clouds.
- Classify objects in LiDAR datasets.
- Follow annotation guidelines accurately.
2. Video Annotation
Video annotation involves labeling objects frame by frame in videos to train AI models. Tasks may include:
- Drawing bounding boxes around people, vehicles, or animals.
- Tracking objects across multiple frames.
- Segmenting objects.
- Labeling actions or events.
Skills Employers Look For
- Attention to detail
- Accuracy and consistency
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to understand annotation guidelines
- Experience with annotation tools (such as CVAT, Labelbox, Supervisely, or similar) is an advantage.
