Job Summary
Provis Technologies is looking for an experienced Upwork Bidding Specialist to join our business development team in Jaipur.
The person will be responsible for finding relevant IT projects on Upwork, understanding client requirements, writing personalised proposals, submitting bids, following up with prospects and maintaining accurate bidding records.
This is not a copy-paste proposal-writing role. We are looking for someone who can understand the client’s actual problem, identify the right projects for our team and write proposals that generate genuine conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Search and identify relevant IT projects on Upwork.
- Review job descriptions, client history, budget and project requirements.
- Shortlist projects that match our services and technical capabilities.
- Write clear, personalised and client-focused proposals.
- Avoid generic, copied or AI-sounding proposals.
- Select relevant portfolio examples for each project.
- Coordinate with developers and project managers for technical inputs, estimates and timelines.
- Submit proposals through the appropriate Upwork profile.
- Follow up with interested prospects professionally.
- Respond to client messages and support initial conversations.
- Maintain records of bids, responses, interviews, follow-ups and outcomes.
- Update the bidding tracker daily.
- Share an end-of-day report covering submitted proposals, replies and next actions.
- Use ChatGPT, Claude and other AI tools for research and drafting while maintaining originality and human judgement.
- Track proposal performance and improve response and interview conversion rates.
- Use Upwork Connects carefully and avoid bidding on low-quality or irrelevant projects.
Required Skills
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Upwork bidding for IT services.
- Strong experience writing personalised Upwork proposals.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to understand software and website development requirements.
- Basic understanding of technologies and services such as:
- WordPress and WooCommerce
- Shopify and eCommerce
- React and Next.js
- Node.js and Laravel
- SaaS and custom web applications
- Mobile application development
- AI, automation and chatbot solutions
- APIs and cloud-based systems
- Understanding of hourly and fixed-price projects.
- Ability to research clients before submitting proposals.
- Ability to identify genuine opportunities and avoid poor-quality projects.
- Comfortable coordinating with technical teams.
- Good knowledge of Google Sheets, Google Docs, email and CRM tools.
- Comfortable working from our Jaipur office from 1:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
Preferred Skills
- Experience handling initial conversations with international clients.
- Experience generating leads through LinkedIn, email or other platforms.
- Understanding of Upwork agency and freelancer profiles.
- Experience with proposal tracking and follow-up systems.
- Knowledge of project scope, estimation and software development terminology.
- Experience working with US, UK, European or other international clients.

- Review new Upwork projects during the shift.
- Shortlist relevant and commercially suitable opportunities.
- Submit customised proposals consistently.
- Follow up on active proposals and conversations.
- Coordinate with the technical team when clarification is required.
- Update the bidding tracker before the end of the shift.
- Share a daily summary of bidding activity and results.
Performance Evaluation
Performance will be measured based on:
- Quality of shortlisted projects.
- Number of relevant proposals submitted.
- Proposal response rate.
- Interviews generated.
- Qualified meetings scheduled.
- Conversion from proposals to client conversations.
- Accuracy of bidding records.
- Effective use of Upwork Connects.
- Quality of proposals and follow-ups.
Submitting a high number of bids without generating relevant responses will not be considered good performance.

Important Requirements
- This is a full-time, work-from-office position.
- The office location is Jaipur, Rajasthan.
- The shift timing is 1:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

- Practical Upwork bidding experience is strongly preferred.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
