Emversity is looking for a dedicated and passionate Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) Trainer to train and mentor students pursuing careers in allied healthcare.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge and practical skills in Operation Theatre Technology, along with the ability to deliver engaging academic and hands-on training. The role involves managing classrooms and skill labs and helping students develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required for the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging academic sessions for Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) students.
- Conduct practical and skill-based training aligned with healthcare industry requirements.
- Provide hands-on training in relevant OT procedures, equipment, practices, and protocols.
- Prepare and manage classrooms, laboratories, and skill labs for practical sessions.
- Assess student performance through tests, assignments, practical evaluations, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback and identify learning gaps among students.
- Maintain discipline and ensure a positive and structured learning environment.
- Maintain academic and student performance records as required.
- Stay updated with relevant healthcare practices, curriculum requirements, and industry developments.
- Contribute to improving training methodologies, curriculum delivery, and overall student learning outcomes.
Educational Qualification
- BOTT (Bachelor of Operation Theatre Technology) or MOTT (Master of Operation Theatre Technology).
- Candidates with relevant allied healthcare qualifications may also be considered based on their subject expertise, practical knowledge, and teaching/training experience.
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Operation Theatre Technology and related healthcare subjects.
- Strong practical knowledge and hands-on experience in OT-related procedures and practices.
- Good understanding of operation theatre protocols, equipment, and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to conduct both classroom and practical/skill-lab training.
- Prior teaching, training, or academic experience is preferred.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing healthcare professionals.
