About the Role:
LayerTax by CA Sonu Jain is a specialised tax advisory firm focusing on direct tax, crypto taxation, and high-stakes litigation. We work with HNIs, founders, and global investors on complex tax matters.
Responsibilities:
- ITR Filing and Tax Planning: Design and implement tax-efficient strategies for individuals to legally minimize tax liabilities in line with applicable laws and regulations and also assist in Filing of accurate ITRs.
- Client Advisory: Provide clear and informed advice to clients on tax-related matters, explaining implications of various tax strategies, and guiding them in making informed financial decisions.
- Tax Research: Conduct research on complex tax issues, staying current with changes in tax laws, and applying findings to develop effective tax solutions.
- Client Communication: Effectively communicate with clients to gather necessary information, discuss tax strategies, and provide updates on compliance status.
- Ethical Standards: Maintain the highest ethical standards in all tax-related activities, ensuring advice and practices are fully compliant with legal and regulatory frameworks.
Who Should Apply
- Law students (3rd year onwards – 5-year course / final year – 3-year course)
- Strong interest in taxation and litigation
- Good drafting and research skills
- Ability to work on tight timelines
Bonus Points
- Prior internship in tax litigation / CA firm
- Familiarity with Income-tax portal and proceedings
- Interest in crypto/Web3 taxation
Duration & Mode
- Minimum 6 months
- Remote (with occasional in-person meetings in Bengaluru, if required)
