About the Role
Safar Salona Holidays is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Travel Package Specialist to design, price, and manage attractive holiday packages for domestic and international travellers. The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, coordinating with hotels and transport providers, and creating memorable travel experiences at competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design customized and fixed-departure travel packages based on customer preferences, budget, duration, and destination.
- Prepare complete itineraries covering accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, activities, meals, and other inclusions.
- Research destinations, hotels, transport services, activities, and local experiences.
- Negotiate competitive rates and commissions with hotels, cab operators, guides, activity providers, and other vendors.
- Calculate package costs, profit margins, taxes, discounts, and final selling prices accurately.
- Create attractive package proposals, quotations, itineraries, and travel brochures.
- Coordinate with the sales team to provide quick and accurate package information.
- Handle customer queries through phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.
- Modify packages according to customer feedback, budget changes, availability, and travel requirements.
- Confirm hotels, transport, activities, permits, and other services after receiving booking approval.
- Maintain updated records of vendor rates, package details, availability, bookings, and customer preferences.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth execution of confirmed tours.
- Follow up with customers before, during, and after their trip to ensure a high-quality travel experience.
- Collect customer feedback and suggest improvements to existing packages.
- Support the marketing team with destination content, package descriptions, social media ideas, and promotional offers.
- Stay updated about travel trends, seasonal demand, destination regulations, festivals, and new tourism experiences.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in travel package creation, tour operations, reservations, or travel sales in a plus.
- Good knowledge of popular domestic destinations and their sightseeing options.
- Understanding of hotel categories, transportation options, travel costing, and itinerary planning.
- Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
- Good negotiation and vendor-management abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, email, WhatsApp Business, and travel-related software.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet quotation and booking deadlines.
- Good written and spoken English and Hindi. Knowledge of other regional or foreign languages will be an advantage.
- A creative approach to developing unique, practical, and value-for-money travel packages.
